BioStar Question of the Week:
How to retrieve human proteins sequence containing a given domain
I would like to know what is the best way to retrieve the human proteins sequences that contains a given domain (e.g. : FYVE). Thanks in advance for sharing your approach(es). –Fred
Although there was no “selected” answer, this question drew several responses of ways to approach this. Some included code-based scripting solutions, but several of them offered ways to accomplish this with user interface tools at SMART, BioMart, Pfam, and UniProt. (And by the way, our subscription package has tutorials for each of those tools that would help you to accomplish these things if you weren’t familiar with them.)
