Charlie Rose interviewed Michael Novacek, Paul Nurse, and Edward O. Wilson about biodiversity and the threats to it as we continue to burden the planet in a variety of ways. But within this interview they refer to the Tree of Life project. We’ve talked about it before, and I’m glad to hear bioinformatics software presented as a hopeful aspect of an otherwise dire discussion.
