New survey to answer: could win an iPad

Just got the notice that the EBI has a survey running about their services.  I like to encourage people to answer the surveys that resource providers run for 2 reasons: 1) it really helps the providers to understand what users need and 2) users need to be part of the conversation and offer their suggestions to the tool providers.

We talk to people on both sides of this fence. I wish they talked to each other more.  Anyway–this survey offers a chance to win an iPad. We’ve already seen  people bring iPads to training sessions. Note: they don’t always work right. The cookies don’t seem to be working quite right yet. But still, people are going to be using them. If that’s a question on the survey I’ll tell them that….

Here are the details, courtesy of the PDB mailing list:

Dear colleagues,

The EBI is carrying out a user survey about its services, collecting input
from current and potential users. The survey lives here:

- It should take 10-15 minutes.

- There are no compulsory questions.

- You can be entered into a prize draw where you could win an iPad.

We will be collecting data until the end of September. If you have technical
problems with the survey please let us know at

Thank you for your help,
