BioStar is a site for asking, answering and discussing bioinformatics questions. We are members of the community and find it very useful. Often questions and answers arise at BioStar that are germane to our readers (end users of genomics resources). Every Thursday we will be highlighting one of those questions and answers here in this thread. You can ask questions in this thread, or you can always join in at BioStar.
This week’s highlighted item is a bit different, but possibly quite useful. I highlight the jobs section:
Just spotted this, thought people here might be want to have a look.
RT @GenomeBrowser: We’re looking for an outstanding software developer to add to our team on the UCSC Genome Browser. Interested? https://t.co/b0KOQxh3
One of the things that was added to the BioStar site after the last reorganization was a whole section on jobs. Maybe it’s a new year and you are thinking about a new direction. Maybe you are considering a future in bioinformatics. Have a look at the kinds of jobs that are out there and the skill sets that are requested. Maybe you’ll have a position to fill at some point in your lab. But I just wanted you to know that this section of the site was another place to look. See the Jobs area at BioStar.
