Hot off the twitter–I see this:
New mouse browser for GRCm38 (mm10) released here: tinyurl.com/79dcp5b This assembly contains reference strain C57BL/6J.

I’ll be diving in today to update the UCSC Genome Browser training materials exercises if I need to. But if you rely on the mouse genome for your work you might also want to look around and see what’s changed.
As with new assemblies, a “core” track set is available in the early days, and over time the full set of tracks will come along. You may not see everything you use at first.
But as always, earlier assemblies will continue to be available from the assembly selection menu. And you can even use the genome way-back files (also known as the archives) to see really older assemblies that you might see referenced in publications.
