Arriving Tuesday: Ada Lovelace Day!

EDIT: Lovelace Day has begun worldwide, and you can begin to see the posts coming in by watching the Mash Up by location, topic, or as a list go here: http://ada.pint.org.uk/
From See Jane Compute I found out about Ada Lovelace Day. Ada (Full name, actually = Augusta Ada King, Countess of Lovelace) is considered by some to be the first computer programmer. This is an effort to celebrate her legacy–and the contributions of many women in technology–with a series of blog posts acknowledging these contributions.
Mine’s ready and in the Hopper (but mine’s not about Grace), and will post after midnight Tuesday. Consider one for your blog, too!
Oh–and a special favor: help a young woman in science get to an important conference–please go and visit Dr. Isis to drive up her counts for this month to raise the money.
